Assistant Terminal Manager

Reporting to the Terminal Manager, on a rotational shift basis (24 hr coverage) you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our shore facilities in support of our Gulf Ferry service between Port Aux Basques NL and North Sydney NS. In this position you will provide direct supervision to approximately 250 unionized employees including but not limited to ticketing, stevedoring, customer service staff, Administrative, maintenance and security.

QUALIFICATIONS:

We are seeking a highly experienced customer focused individual(s) to join our management team. You will have a minimum of 3 to 5 years management / supervisory experience ideally in either a passenger or commercial transportation industry and a demonstrable track record of delivering service results and improvements.  With excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills you have a capacity to influence people and a natural ease in building strong relationships. The ability to handle and prioritize numerous demands to meet timelines and schedules is essential. You are self motivated and a team player. Management / Supervisory experience normally attained in a unionized environment will be considered an asset.

You will have a Business or Technical Degree or a combination of education and experience that can be applied to this position.
