Certificates: 1st. Class Motor, Unlimited with current STCW 95 endorsement, MED D.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

- Supervisory experience
- Experience working as a Chief Engineer or 2nd Engineer on vessels with 5000 HP or more with medium speed as a preference.
- Knowledge of fueling procedures and environmental impacts.
- Familiar with the operation and repair of medium speed diesel engines.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical & hydraulic systems.

  1. Familiar with a computerized ship preventive maintenance system.
  2. Familiar with Office & project management software.
  3. Familiar with preparing detailed comprehensive incident reports.
  4. Familiarity with Watchkeeping procedures, paralleling generators, alarms & monitoring equipment.
  5. Experience with Intermediate Fuel & blended fuels.
  6. Familiar with preparation of specifications.
  7. Experience in supervising refits of ships.
  8. Familiar with the ISM code, Canada Labour Code and Marine Occupational Health and Safety Regulations (MOSH)
